Sun Bridges app privacy policy

Sun Bridges is the app for following plants with Bridges solar trackers. This policy explains what data it processes, why and for how long.

Who handles the data

The data controller is Bridges Engineering S.r.l., Tecnopolo d’Abruzzo, SS17 località Boschetto di Pile, 67100 L’Aquila (AQ), VAT no. 01842560664. For any request you can write to us through the contact form or by post to our office.

What data the app processes

• Account: email, name, role and the plants you can access, created by Bridges when it invites you.
• Session: an encrypted access code, stored in the phone’s keychain. Face ID and fingerprint stay on the phone: the app only receives a yes or a no.
• Device: a random identifier, the model, system and app version, language; the notification token, if you turn notifications on.
• Log: sign-ins and commands, with person, time and IP address, for the safety of the plants.
• Plant data: status, tracker position, alarms and production. These are technical data about the machines.

What it does not do

No advertising, tracking, behavioural analytics or sharing of data. The app does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos.

Why

To let you see and, if your role allows it, command your plants (Art. 6.1.b GDPR); to keep the log of operations on the machines (Art. 6.1.c and 6.1.f).

Who else sees the data

The platform host and the app developer, as data processors. Notifications go through Expo’s service (650 Industries, United States) to Apple and Google: transfers outside the European Union are covered by standard contractual clauses.

For how long

The session lasts 30 days without opening the app, at most 180. The log is kept for as long as needed for safety, plant warranty and legal obligations.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a readable format (Art. 15-22 GDPR). We reply within one month. You can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority. To delete your account: Delete your account.
