Bridges at Tecnopolo d’Abruzzo

We move to Tecnopolo d’Abruzzo in L’Aquila and start producing the Sun Bridges 2AX: a plan of 1.5 million euros of investment and about 35 new hires over three years.

Bridges Engineering moves to Tecnopolo d’Abruzzo in L’Aquila and starts producing its dual-axis solar tracker there, the Sun Bridges 2AX: 16 bifacial modules on a single pole, 14.5 kWp of rated power. The first of the new generation is already at work at Tecnopolo.

The plan

An investment of 1.5 million euros over three years and about 35 new hires in the same period, among engineers and electrical and mechanical technicians.

The tracker

The Sun Bridges 2AX follows the sun on two axes all day long, and its modules catch light on both faces. The pole structure stays operational in winds up to 120 km/h, and 100 W are enough to move the whole tracker.

The panels stay at least 2.40 m above the ground and trackers are at least 14 m apart: the land underneath can be worked with machinery of any size, which is the basis of agrivoltaics.

Where it is used

In the car parks of shopping and sports centres, in large solar fields, which go up quickly, on farmland, for energy-intensive industries and for public bodies.
